This study analysis contemporary state of the labour resources of the Far Eastern Federal district. Main features, specificity, risks and options of solving or reducing the shortage of manpower are identefied. The structure of migration processes as one of the common solutions to this problem is examined. By means of sociological surveys conducted on the basis of employment centers, readiness of the local population to the regional employment mobility is evaluated. The forms of state support to labour mobility, their relevance and effectiveness are evaluated.
