Spatial differentiation and the priorities of socio-economic development of Russia’s regions
This monograph summarizes the results of Department of Regional Economics and Economic Geography of the Financial University's staff researchers in the period of 2013-2014 on the following topics: "Definition of priorities for socioeconomic development of Russian regions" and "Areas to improve state support for priority directions of socioeconomic development of Russian regions", implemented within the framework of state task of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation.
The monograph presents the results of multivariate analysis of condition and problems of the socioeconomic development of Russian regions and characterizes territorial proportions of the national economy. It proposes the system of criteria and indicators for assessing capacity and level of socioecologoeconomic development of Russian constituent entities and on its basis it developes a typology of regions, which reflects the degree of their readiness for the economy modernization. The book analyzes Russian and foreign experience of regional development's state support. Based on the proposed system of indicators, it defines the various regions' socioeconomic development's priorities. It justifies the proposals to improve the measures of Russian regions (subjects)' socioeconomic development's priority directions' state support.
